Applications have been opened for the Reham Al-Farra Memorial Journalism Fellowship and young working journalists who are between the ages of 22 to 35 are encouraged to apply, until April 3.
Journalists from developing countries with economies in transition will get an opportunity to learn about the UN's work and to cover the General Assembly for their news outlets.
The programme will let the journalists listen to special briefings, interview senior UN officials, and exchange ideas with colleagues from around the world.
Also, they will get an opportunity to meet with news organizations in New York and have various training sessions with media experts.
This programme will not provide any basic skills training as experienced journalists with two years of experience will be taking part in this programme.
Further information can be gathered via https://www.un.org/en/raf and applications can be submitted via https://www.un.org/en/raf/application2026.
