The PCR laboratory located at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) was re-opened today (27) after a temporary closure.
Manager of the Laboratory Sumudu Sarasija said those who are fully vaccinated or received only one vaccine can obtain a PCR test on arrival or leaving the country.
She said a PCR test is charged 40 US dollars and test results are issued within three hours’ time with tests conducted by qualified laboratory technicians.
A number of Sri Lankans who arrived to the country from Doha at 2.15 a.m. today underwent PCR tests at the airport.
