The body of a Navy sailor who went missing following an accident involving two Navy vessels was recovered yesterday, Navy said.
The accident was reported in the Karainagar sea on Monday when Navy vessels tried to intercept suspicious boats, alleged to have been involved in criminal activities were spotted in the Navy.
At least four Navy sailors went missing following the accident and three were rescued by Navy personnel later.
The body of the victim was brought to Kankesanthurai Naval base and later handed over at Jaffna Teaching Hospital. (N. Lohathayalan)
