Former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and six other accused who were in remand custody over the alleged 2016 Bond scam were granted bail by the Colombo High Court Trial-at-Bar today.
Bail was granted regarding the third alleged bond scam amounting to Rs 15 billion, which allegedly took place during the bond auction held on March 31, 2016.
Accordingly, the accused were released on Rs 1 million cash bail each and two sureties of Rs 10 million each.
