The vote for the third reading of the Budget is due to take place today evening amidst speculation that more cabinet ministers will be sworn in.
The Samagi Jana Balawegaya has announced its stance that it would be voting against the budget at the vote scheduled to take place at 5.00 p.m.
Earlier Tourism Minister Harin Fernando said that a couple of SJB Mps were set to join the government. “The number may just less than the number equal to a Cricket team”, he said.
A senior member in the SJB said that plans were underway to form an alliance aimed at supporting the government.
