A bus carrying a group of foreign tourists from Colombo to Weligama collided with the back of a lorry on the Southern Expressway in Imaduwa area last night (5) killing a Russian national, the Imaduwa Police said.
The deceased is a 42-year-old named Abdulin Ildar.
Investigations revealed that the accident was a result of the driver of the bus falling asleep.
Remains of the deceased foreigner has been placed in the Mortuary of the Karapitiya Hospital.
Further investigations are being conducted by the Imaduwa Police.
