China assures support on SL’s credit optimization: PMD

Chinese Finance Minister Mr. Liu Kun has assured their continuous support for the implementation of a medium-term and long-term programme over Sri Lanka’s debt optimization during a bilateral discussion with President Rani Wickremesinghe held this morning (October 19) in Beijing, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.

Finance Minister Kun further emphasized on the importance of collaborating with international organizations closely tied with China in an effort to extend further support to Sri Lanka. 

Discussion today further pointed at a programme aimed at promoting economic revival and facilitating the development of a market-driven, digitally empowered and eco-friendly economy in Sri Lanka. 

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ali Sabry, President’s Senior Adviser on National Security and Chief of Staff Mr. Sagala Ratnayake, Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe and President’s Private Secretary Ms. Sandra Perera attended this meeting.
