President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed a committee to study the report of the Commission of Inquiry into the Easter Sunday attacks and the report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on National Security.
The new committee will be headed by Minister Chamal Rajapaksa. Other members of the committee are Johnston Fernando, Udaya Gammanpila, Ramesh Pathirana, Prasanna Ranatunga and Rohitha Abeygunawardena.
The Presidential Secretariat has already forwarded the two above mentioned reports to the committee for in-depth study, the President's Media Division said.
Director General (Legal) of the Presidential Secretariat, Hariguptha Rohanadheera has been appointed as Secretary to the Committee to facilitate the committee's work, the PMD added.
The committee has been tasked with studying the reports and submitting its own report on their findings before March 15.
