Additional Director General Sunil Jayaratne who served as the Media Spokesman of the Sri Lanka Customs Department has resigned from the post. He stated that he resigned from the post due to several reasons.
However, Mr Jayaratne stated that he would continue to work as an Additional Director of the Sri Lanka Customs Department. He worked as a media spokesman for the Customs Department from July 1, 2017.
