There will be daily power cuts from today (15) to lack of fuel and to conserve water, Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) Janaka Ratnayake said.
The methodology and schedule under which daily power cuts will be enforced will be announced later today, he further stated.
Meanwhile, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said that power generation at the privately owned Sojitz power plant in Kelanitissa has been halted due to lack of fuel.
