The online system would be made compulsory to make contributions to the Employees Trust Fund (ETF) from February 01 onwards, State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said.
He said accordingly payment for ETF could only be made through online from February 1 onwards.
This would apply to institutions which have more than 15 employees.
The system will enable employees to check their contributions via online through a sms.
