During a North Central Naval Command operation off the coast of Mannar on Tuesday night (16), Sri Lanka Navy had seized two Indian fishing trawlers carrying eighteen fishermen poaching in Sri Lankan waters off Mannar.
Accordingly, the captured Indian fishermen and the poaching trawlers have been taken ashore at Mannar’s Thalpadu Pier.
The Talaimannar Fisheries Inspector will receive them to proceed with further legal action.
