Electricity tariffs are to be reduced by 21.9% with effect from midnight today (Mar. 4), according to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL).
Accordingly, the revised electricity tariff rates are as follows:
Domestic:
Units 0-30 reduced by 33%,
Units 31- 60 by 28%,
Units 61-90 by 30%,
Units 91- 180 by 24%.
Religious places and charities by 33%,
Hotels and industries by 18%,
General Purpose by 23%.
