Exhuming the remains of those killed in the Sainthamaruthu bomb blast in 2019 commenced at the Ampara cemetery today.
Police said the exhuming will take place to identify the DNA of Pulathini Mahendran alias Sarah Jesmin, wife of the Katuwapitiya suicide bomber.
Exhuming of bodies is conducted in the presence of Ampara Magistrate Thushara Dharmakeerti to determine whether Sarah was among the 15 persons killed in Sainthamaruthu.
