Multiple places in most provinces of the island will experience showers or thundershowers after 1:00 p.m. today (7), a Duty Meteorologist of the Department of Meteorology said.
Fairly heavy rainfall over 75mm is due at certain locations in Central, Sabaragamuwa and North-central Provinces.
Morning showers are possible in the coastline areas of Western Province and in Galle and Matara Districts.
Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva Provinces will have misty mornings.
The Met. Department urges the public to take preventives to reduce harm that can be caused by high winds and lightning during thunderstorms.
