Foods and strong winds have affected nearly 2000 persons with most damages reported in the southern province, the Disaster Management Centre said.
The worst affected was the Matara district where 1,700 persons were hit by floods.
Among the other districts affected were Galle, Trincomalee, Puttalam, Kurunegala, Kegalle, Ratnapura and Gampaha.
