Forty fifth Asian conference on Remote Sensing in Sri Lanka

The 45th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing Technology will be conducted in Sri Lanka next year.

Considering the importance of Remote Sensing Technology in national development tasks, the Asian Organization of Remote Sensing has been established by the countries of the Asia Pacific region.

This organization, of which Sri Lanka is also a founding member, consists of a number of member groups including Common Members, Associate Members and Sustaining Members.

The 45th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing Technology has been proposed to be held in Colombo during October - November 2024, consisting of 05 days.

Accordingly, the Cabinet approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Tourism and Lands to hold the conference in Sri Lanka.
