Former Minister Harin Fernando, arrested by the Badulla police for alleged violations of Election Laws during the 2024 General Election, has been released on bail.
The Badulla Magistrate’s Court granted bail to Mr. Fernando today on a surety of Rs. 500,000.
Mr. Fernando was arrested earlier today in connection with his controversial ‘Messi 10’ t-shirt campaign, which allegedly breached election regulations in Badulla Town on November 11.
He was charged for unlawful assembly.
