Polonnaruwa, Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Ampara, Monaragala and Hambantota districts will experience extremely warm weather in the coming days, the Meteorology Department warned.
Heat cramps and heat triggered exhaustion can occur as the heat index is to reach ‘extreme caution’ level, the Department said requesting public residing in the above districts to stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade as often as possible, to check up on the elderly and the sick and limit strenuous outdoor activities.
