Heavy rain to continue today
Heavy rainfall (over 100 mm) is expected in Southern province and in Kalutara, Ratnapura districts today, the Meteorology Department said
Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North- western provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya will experience fairly heavy rainfall throughout the day due to the active South-west monsoon.
Public need to take precautionary measures to minimize damages from strong winds and lightning, the Met Department advised.
