Catholic churches throughout the country marked the second anniversary of the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks today.
A two minutes' silence was observed at all churches at 8.45am today and church services in memory of the victims was held thereafter.
The anniversary of the attacks was marked at Catholic churches in the North, including Vavuniya, Mannar, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu and Jaffna.
Heavy security was provided to all churches today by the police, Special Task Force, army and navy personnel.
