A collective of trade unions held a protest opposite the Fort Railway Station today (25) against what they claim are unjust labour laws being introduced by the government and the interference of the government in the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) and Employee Trust Fund (ETF) as part of domestic debt restructuring in line with conditions imposed by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Members of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) were among those present at the protest.
