The fort Magistrate Thanuja Lakamali had ordered to release the former minister on five surety bails worth Rs 5 million each
The former minister was produced before Fort Magistrate courts from remand custody. He was remanded after he was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over the use of an unregistered luxury vehicle .
Two suspects who surrendered to the CID over the same investigations were granted bail yesterday.
The suspects were released on two surety bail of Rs 500,000 each.
