The Kandy Esala Perahera in Sri Lanka begins today, July 30, and will continue until August 9, 2025.
This festival honors the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha, one of the most important religious treasures in Sri Lanka.
The Esala Perahera is one of the oldest and grandest Buddhist festivals in the country. It features a magnificent parade with elephants, dancers, musicians, and other performers, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Sri Lanka.
