Opposition party leaders speak at Nugegoda anti-government rally

The anti-government rally organised by several opposition parties is currently underway at the Ananda Samarakoon Open Air Theatre, Nugegoda.

A large crowd has been observed at the location, with senior party officials from a number of opposition parties including the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), United National Party (UNP) the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) seen in attendance.

Leaders and representatives of several opposition parties have already spoken at the rally.

Police have implemented a special traffic plan in the Nugegoda area in view of the rally.
