Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella’s son, Ramith Rambukwella, has been remanded until June 3.
He appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) today, May 21, 2025 to make a statement over allegations that he sought permission to appoint personal staff for the then minister and their payments were misappropriated.
Thereafter he was produced before Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali and he was remanded.
Mr Ramith Rambukwella’s lawyer Kanchana Ratwatte denied the allegation against Ramith.
