Mahindananda Aluthgamage acquitted in money laundering case

Mahindananda Aluthgamage, a former minister, was cleared today of charges filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act for allegedly using over Rs 27 million unlawfully acquired funds to buy a lavish home on Kinsey Road in Colombo.

Colombo High Court Judge Navaratne Marasinghe delivered the judgment.
