The Postal Department reports that approximately 77% of the official polling cards for the 2024 presidential election have been distributed.
Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe confirmed that nearly 13.2 million polling cards have already been handed out.
Mr. Ranasinghe added that distribution will continue on September 13 and 14.
Voters who have not received their polling cards by Saturday can visit their local post office with their National Identity Card (NIC) after September 18 to verify their identity and collect their card.
This service will be available to voters up until the election day on September 21.
