A suspect who was in possession of explosives has been arrested in Trincomalee, the Special Task Force (STF) said today (June 13).
According to the information received by the officials of the STF Trincomalee camp, they conducted a raid at Erakkandi in Kuchchaveli yesterday.
A-45-year-old suspect, who is a resident of Erakkandi area and was in possession of 45 sticks of water gel explosives weighing 5kg 900g, was arrested and handed over to Kuchchaveli Police Station for further investigation.
