A man involved in selling school children a cannabis-infused sedative was arrested on in Welipenna, the Special Task Force said today.
On information received, STF officers of the Katukurunda Training School conducted a raid in the Walagedara area of Welipenna on Tuesday (January 3).
Subsequently, a 48 year old suspect, who had sold cannabis-infused sedatives to school children for a long period of time was arrested while in possession of 325 g of the sedative.
The suspect has been handed over to the Welipenna Police for further investigation.
The raid was conducted by a group of STF officials, including the Officer in Charge of the Katukurunda Training School, Chamila Marapana under the guidance of the Director Senior Superintendent of Police Athula Rathnayake.
