Western, Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara districts will experience fairly heavy rainfall today(30), the Meteorology Department said.
Showers will occur at times in Central, and Northwestern provinces as well, the Department said.
The present rainy condition is expected to continue during the next few days in the southwestern part of the country.
Showers or thundershowers will also occur at several places in Eastern and Uva provinces and in Mullaitivu districts during the evening or night.
“Fairly strong winds of about (40-45) kmph can be expected at times in western slopes of the central hills, Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces," the weather forecast said.
