Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has arrived at the CID to provide a statement regarding the import of substandard human Immunoglobulin.
On Thursday the Maligakanda Magistrate issued an order for former Health Minister Rambukwella to provide a statement to the Crminall Invertigation Department (CID) at 9 a.m. today.
Due to his attendance at a ministerial subcommittee meeting held at the Presidential Secretariat and the proceedings of a case heard before the Colombo High Court, the former health minister was unable to appear before the CID on Wednesday (January 31).
Former Minister of Health Rambukwella was ordered by the Maligakanda Magistrate to appear before the CID in order to provide a statement on his suspected role in the procurement of substandard pharmaceuticals.
An overseas travel ban has also been imposed on the Minister.
