Showers or thunder showers are most likely to be experienced in parts of Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Uva, Central, North-Western and North-Central provinces and in the Mannar district during the day and night today, says the Department of Meteorology.
In the meantime, fairly heavy showers above 50mm are likely to occur in the same areas.
A few showers are expected in the Southern Coastal areas during the morning.
Providing information of the apparent northward relative motion of the sun, the Department further said that the sun will directly be over at a few areas from April 05 to 15 this year.
