The inaugural ‘NDC Research Symposium - 2022’ of National Defence College has been planned to hold under the theme of ‘Exploring Multinodal Security Dynamics’ on August 17, 2022 at the Auditorium of Faculty of Graduate Studies, General Sir John Kotelawela Defence University.
The event is exclusively designed to promote defence research culture and create an environment to explore research ideas related to the discipline of National Security and Strategic Studies.
The Defence Ministry said the symposium is a catalyst to foster networking among academia, senior military, and police officers to exchange and share academic notions related to contemporary security issues.
The symposium would create a great platform for the scholars to improve, sharpen and share their wisdom and experiences in many academic fields, which are directly cooperated in their academic curriculum, the Ministry added..
Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest and the keynote address will be delivered by Mr Lalith Weerathunga, former Secretary and Senior Advisor to the President of Sri Lanka.
