Budgetary Relief Allowance of Workers (Amendment) Bill to amend Act No. 36 of 2005, Budgetary
Relief Allowance of Workers (Amendment) Bill to amend Act No. 4 of 2016, and National Minimum Wage for Workers (Amendment) Bill were passed in Parliament today (22).
During the vote on the second reading of the Budgetary Relief Allowance of Workers (Amendment) Bill (related to the 2005 Act), 182 votes were in favor, and none against. Subsequently, in the third reading following the committee stage, 181 members voted in favor, with no votes against.
For the Budgetary Relief Allowance of Workers (Amendment) Bill (related to the 2016 Act), 180 votes were in favor during the second reading, with no opposition votes. During the third reading after the committee stage, 181 votes were in favor, again with no votes against.
Meanwhile, the National Minimum Wage for Workers (Amendment) Bill was passed with amendments and without a vote.
