The new Air Force Headquarters was declared open at the Defence Complex in Akuregoda, Battaramulla today (January 1) by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Accordingly, the former Air Force Headquarters is due to be handed over for the Police Headquarters, President Wickremesinghe said.
He added that the Police Headquarters building and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building will be handed over for tourism projects.
