There will be no power cuts for three days starting from today (13), the Public Utilities Commission said.
The Commission’s Chairman Janaka Ratnayake said the relief will be given in view of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
He said rains to catchment areas will result in increased hydro-power generation, thereby reducing future power cuts.
