WEERAKETIYA: Three suspects arrested for robbery of batteries attached to a telecommunication tower.
KURUNEGALA: Two suspects arrested for robbery of Rs. 500,000 in a bus.
WELLAMPITIYA: 53 year old arrested for possession of foreign produced live handbomb.
JAFFNA: 32 year old killed in a car accident in Kandaramadam.
URUBOKKA: 29 year old stabbed to death over a family dispute.
COLOMBO CRIME DIVISION: Three suspects arrested for attempting to stab two people to death.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is due to vacate his official residence at Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo this morning, a Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) source said.
