The Koswatta Police station in Chilaw has been temporarily shut after an Inspector (IP) attached to the station tested positive for COVID-19, the Nattandiya Medical Officer of Health (MOH) office stated.
They added that all other officers attached to the station have now been placed in quaratine and will be subjected to PCR tests.
Meanwhile, the Koswatta police station has been temporarily shifted to an area temple with additional officers being deployed to carry out duties.
