Matale District Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon has been appointed as an Assistant Government Whip.
He received his appointment letter today from Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Mr Tennakoon is the son of Minister of Public Services, Provincial Councils & Local Government Janaka Bandara Tennakoon.

Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
