Several major roads in Colombo will be closed on April 4 and 5 as part of a special traffic plan for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to Sri Lanka.
On April 4, the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway and Baseline Road will be closed from 6 PM to 10 PM. Travelers heading to Katunayake International Airport are advised to plan accordingly to avoid delays.
Intermittent road closures will continue on April 5 around key locations, including Galle Face, Independence Square, and the Ape Gama premises in Battaramulla. Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes.
The Sri Lanka Police have urged the public to cooperate with the temporary restrictions to ensure the safety and smooth execution of Prime Minister Modi’s visit.
