Directives have been sent out to school principals to review only 40 percent of school attendance of the school applicants for the 2023 Advanced Level (A/L) Examination, Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha said.
Minister Premajayantha said the ease-up will be pertinent only for the year 2023 whilst making a particular brief in Parliament today morning (July 20).
The Minister further asserted that this decision has been reached in consideration of recent concerns raised by Members of Parliament on behalf of students and parents although it was announced to consider 80 percent attendance for A/L admission earlier.
