Seven Senior Deputy Inspector Generals (SDIG) and a DIG were transferred yesterday (3) on service requirements.
Those transferred included SDIG Nandana Munasinghe, who was transferred as SDIG in charge of Administration from his previous post of SDIG in charge of North Central Province.
Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana meanwhile, was transferred as SDIG in charge of Crimes and Traffic.
SDIG L.S. Pathinayake was transferred as SDIG of Community Police and Environment from the post of SDIG Crimes and Traffic, while P.P.S.M Dharmaratna has been transferred from the post of SDIG in charge of the Northern Province to the post of SDIG North Western Province and Acting SDIG to the North Central Province.
W.K. Jayalath has been transferred as SDIG in charge of the Northern Province while R.L Kodithuwakku has been transferred as SDIG in charge of Sabaragamuwa Province and Acting SDIG of Uva Province. SDIG M.D.R.L Daminda has been appointed as SDIG in charge of the Southern Province.
DIG G.A.N.L. Wijesena has been transferred from the post of DIG in charge of Batticaloa District to DIG in charge of Anuradhapura District.
