State Minister of Rural Roads and other Infrastructure Nimal Lanza has resigned from his post.
Mr Lanza has been involved in a dispute with State Minister Sanath Nishantha and had earlier also submitted a letter to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa detailing difficulties he was encountering when carrying out his duties as State Minister.
Mr Lanza has become the second State Minister to step down in recent days. Earlier State Minister of Warehouse Facilities, Container Yards, Port Supply Facilities and Boats and Shipping Industry Development Jayantha Samaraweera also stepped down from his post.
