President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed ten Ministry Secretaries and two Chief Secretaries today morning.
Their appointments will be effective from January 1, 2024 the President's Media Division said.
Accordingly, Wasantha Perera has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Mr. M.N. Ranasinghe as the Secretary to the Ministry of Justice, Prisons & Constitutional Reforms and Mr. Gunadasa Samarasinghe as the Secretary to the Ministry of Wildlife & Forest Resources Conservation.
Meanwhile, Mr. A.C. Mohammad Nafeel was appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Water Supply & Estate Infrastructure, Mr. W.P.P. Yasaratne as the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils & Local Government and Mr. Saman Darshana Pandikorala as the Secretary to the Ministry of Irrigation.
Besides, Mr. B.K.P. Chandrakeerthi has been appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Environment, Dr. Sulaksha Jayawardena as the Secretary to the Ministry of Power and Energy, Eng. Mr. Ranjith Rubasinghe as the Secretary to the Ministry of Transport and Highways and Dr. Dharmasri Kumaratunga as the Secretary to the Ministry of Technology.
Moreover, President Wickremesinghe also appointed Mr. R.M.W.S. Samaradiwakara as the Chief Secretary of the North Central Province and Miss. S.L.D.K. Wijayasinghe as the Chief Secretary of the Western Province.
