On approval of the Department of Animal Production and Health (DAPH), 10 million imported egg stock will be distributed to all Lanka Sathosa outlets starting today (18), according to the Sri Lanka State Trading Corporation (STC).
Thereby, the STC assured that eggs will be available for purchase through all Sathosa stores for the general public.
The STC said a consignment of 15 million eggs from India is expected to arrive and steps will be initiated to send the stocks for quality inspection promptly.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
