National Action Plan to fight human trafficking approved
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the National Strategic Action Plan for 2026–2030 to continue the fight against human trafficking which was presented by the president.
Three die in domestic dispute at Galenbindunuwewa
A 43-year-old man set fire to his own residence using petrol following a domestic dispute at Galenbindunuwewa in the Padikaramaduwa area of Nuwaragam Colony. The man was killed in the fire while his 13-year-old daughter and 36-year-old wife, who had been hospitalized with critical burn injuries, succumbed to their injuries.
