Tributes poured in for veteran actor Jackson Anthony who passed away earlier this morning.
Artists, media persons and politicians were among those who sent in condolence messages dedicated to the late actor.
"No one will ever be able to fill your shoes. Gone but never forgotten" wrote singer Umaria Sinhawansa.
Former cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya wrote "Today we bid goodbye to a national icon in the Arts Mr. Jackson Anthony. May you RIP".
"Deeply saddened by the passing of veteran artiste Jackson Anthony.
Jackson's contributions to the arts will be remembered for decades to come.
My condolences go out to the Anthony family during this difficult time" tweeted MP Dayasiri Jayasekara.
