Turmeric worth Rs 7 million seized; five arrested
Five persons were arrested for smuggling in more than 1,300 kilograms of Turmeric in the Norochcholai area on Saturday (6), Police said.
The estimated value of the items seized was Rs seven million.
A lorry, car and motorcycle involved in the smuggling racket were also seized.
