Two die from COVID-19
Two males, aged 86 and 71 died from COVID-19 related pneumonia and lung infection on Monday (04), the Government Information Department said.
Both the deceased are residents of Ratnapura. This increases the death toll from the virus to 215.The total number of COVID positive cases from the second wave increased to 41498 with Monday’s 467 positive cases.
The National Operations Centre for the Prevention of the Spread of COVID-19 on Monday evening lifted the isolation status imposed in Avissawella police area.
